I noticed that too. At the totally random hours I check the Kumori Con boards, there are more guests than people on the forums.

Why there are so many guests:

MOSTLY
1. People at work who don't have time to sign in while reading at work/ skill and post when they get home that night.
2. People with normal accounts who are avoiding getting noticed because they are scared of drama. "They'll see me and they'll know I'm online and they'll try and get me to reply."

AND ALSO
3. Newbies from other cons just seeing what our convention is like.
4. People who have been banned.
5. People who are waiting for their passwords to be reset or having some other kind of computer problems.

AND sometimes
6. People who think the forums are dumb and only come here when they get an email about something.
7. People named Jaki who love lurking.

So I just came across something nifty. If you click on the " X users, Y guests" text on the main page, it will show you everyone who is online and what they are doing. I felt like a member of the CIA sittign there seeing all that! Anyway, my point, I noticed a rather common theme in the threads that all the guests were looking at (over the span of ten minutes anyway). All but one or two guests were looking at spam, everyone else was reading (for lack of a better phrase) important threads, posts that discuss cosplay or how the con functions or people discussing the con in retrospect. So yeah, there we are, people really are interested in the con! ^_^
