The Goggle Squad Orchid

Waffles and the crew gave me this orchid at the 2007 Spring Uwajimaya Festival. This is the first time I've ever succeeded in getting an orchid to re-bloom.

It looks great! My parents are always buying orchids but they never take care of them due to work, so hardly any of them re-blooms ^^;

I keep it at work, but I had it on my balcony over the summer. The trick was to "shock" the orchid. I got lucky, because I moved it indoors and didn't water it for a week at just the right time.

Also, this type of orchid blooms on old wood. Don't ever cut off the flower stem!

I don't know if that's really your orchid. That picture looks a little too professional. You should pose with it.

Wow- so pretty! I once did a report on orchids and some have really specific needs. I'm glad it came back.

I, on the other hand, do not have a green thumb. I've tried twice to grow my own bonsai tree... and failed :(. Then I went out and bought a pre-grown bonsai tree... and that died too >_<. I should just never touch plants.
