Mochitsuki 2008
« on: December 11, 2007, 04:08:52 pm »
I didn't know where to put this, but the organizers for this say that Kumoricon qualifies to come to this~

The Mochitsuki is a non-profit festival that is held yearly at the PCC in January.  Mostly it is a Japanese-American festival to celebrate the New Year.  Events include taiko performaces, live performances by Asian groups, games, and live mochi (rice cake)-pounding and ice-carving demonstrations.  Booths are open to other non-profit groups as well.  This year's festival has a Hawaii theme to it, I believe.

The website is actually kind of sparse right now,so I'd advise contacting info@mochitsuki.org for more info.  Also, booth prices go up after the end of December.

Their site doesn't list which campus it's on. I'm assuming Sylvania, since they're the biggest, but it'd be nice for them to actually *say* it.

Kumoricon is participating for the first time this year! I've created a new thread to highlight Kumoricon's involvement and details of the event:
