Syd-chan's Trans-Siberian Orchestra Concert Adventure
« on: December 04, 2007, 05:25:07 pm »
Ok, I had an eventful concert...First, we drove to Portland and were going to park at the Rose Garden, when we found it was completely overcrowed and had to find a nearby parking place. So we did that and went to ride to Tri-Met [or whatever it is] to the Rose Garden.

So, we're waiting, and the train is VERY overcrowed. So, my mom gets on and the doors close. Apparently, she though we were right behind her, but there wans't enough room. So, our mom got sucked into the train and left us [my 11 year old brother and me, a 12 year old] alone in Portland. But, it was really funny, because she was banging on the door, saying, "TAKE THE NEXT TRAIN!!!" Apparently, I had this pissed, kinda, 'wtf?!' expression on my face as the train drove off. And my brother had this expression like, 'OMG, DON'T LEAVE ME WITH SYDNEY*!!!'

Though my brother was totally having a meltdown, I found some nice people to tell us where to get off, ect. Though, my mom ran 5 blocks in 3 minutes to meet us and we got on the train together.

At the concert....

We had three girls behind us screaming their heads off and ect. [When she clapped, she shook my seat] But, we turn around and we realize....IT'S TWO TWENTY-SOMETHING YEAR OLDS AND A 40-SOMETHING YEAR OLD WOMEN! That's not all....THE 40-SOMETHING YEAR OLD WOMEN WAS THE LOUDEST.....[And right behind me].

So, that was my concert..... -.- fun, though, they had fire and fireworks....

I didn't know Trans-Siberian Orchestra was in Portland. But that's cool. I'm glad you had fun.

I knew they were coming, but didn't go.

Did they play Carol of The Bells?

My favorite song by them. :D

I love Orchestra music; I don't listen to mainstream radio stuff. So mostly when people talk about music, I have no idea who or what they're trying to tell me.

No one knows what I'm talking about when I want to talk about music, most just think I have a lame taste in it. But I'm excited that you got to go, and next time they're in Portland, I'm going too!

Yeah, I saw them a couple years back, definitely the best holiday performance ever. Awesome lightshow and terrific music. I'm glad you got to go see them and had an adventure too!
