Batman & Robin was a disaster because of several reasons: different writers, different director, different actors.....different everything.

We don't have to worry about that with Pirates.

And yes, Lone Ranger sounds fascinating as well. I'm not a fan of westerns.....at all....but I think Depp and Clooney can win me over.

Well they said for the longest time that there would be no 4th movie. Yes they set it up so that there could be a 4th but over and over the actors had to say this was it.

Whooo I am excited about the 4th POTC movie!! <3 <3 <3

Ah, I loved all 3 PoTC film; they tugged the right heartstrings with me (especially the last two: the Calypso/Davy Jones history....how could I not be moved?).

And I agree, Johnny Depp can make almost anything amazing.

I really only want to see the fourth movie if it like...went into the back story of how Jack got the Pearl and how he already had a run in with Shorty (you know, from the East India Trading Co.). I think that would be good...

but :/ If it's just Jack having a random misadventure? Yes, I'll see it, but probably not the 8 times in theatres I saw Dead Man's Chest.

they just wanted the effect of surprising everyone but it didn't work completely that well. I mean as soon as I saw that movie I heard from like 5 people the title for the 4th movie. :3 but this one I know will be amazing.

The only good PoTC movie to me was the 1st one. The 2nd was rather boring, and the 3rd was boring and confusing. At least the fights were always fun!

They are books!! Right now there are 4 (well, 3 have released in the US, but my sister picked up a copy of The Pirates! In an Adventure with Napoleon whilst she was in Europe over the summer). BUT THEY ARE SO FREAKING AMAZING. EVERYONE SHOULD READ THEM. NAO.

Ninja movies were a thing of the late 80's and early-mid 90's, it would seem. Kid ninja movies at that. Not that they can't be reinvented, but just saying.

While I am super stoked about Pirates and will never not love the films, what I really really want to see is a quality, inventive, original film about Vikings. Sure there were vikings in Pathfinder, but they weren't the main characters, they were more creatures of a fiendish nature than actual characters. I want something similar to PoTC, but with Vikings. A Viking epic. That'd be killer. (The closest thing I can think of is The 13th Warrior.)

Yeah.... i guess i'd be happy with a Kung Fu movie or sumthin.... What they really need is a good Aliens movie, ya know with space marines and stuffs.... But no Sigourney Weaver! she needs to sit this one out. That or a decent Aliens vs predator that actually takes place in space with marines an the correct timeline and era.
