Faux Fur Stain
« on: October 26, 2008, 04:42:59 pm »
Ok, so my wig (after being dyed with the sharpie method) bled all over my faux fur collar. DX

Does anyone know of a way to get the stain out? I've tried using 91% rubbing alcohol, and that didn't do much.

A bleach pen, perhaps? A Clorox pen got a really nasty bright red Copic stain out of the collar of my VERY white Esther habit.

Unfortunately I was told that bleach could ruin the faux fur. ;_;

Oh wow, nail polish remover? I'll have to give it a try!

i have used it to remove mystery stains before, I would suggest trying it on a section of the fur most not seen to be on safe side

I know this sounds insane, but any sort of stain I have I take lemon peel to. works like magic.
If I had've known that people would call me my forum name at the con, I wouldn't of picked something so dumb.

I know that Oxyclean is pretty good at getting stains out, but I don't know if it's safe for faux fur. :/
