Attempt to get ahold of Harmonix about it, but good luck, their customer support sucks.

If you know someone who's good at fixing game consoles & controllers, it may be possible that they could fix it for you.  I knew someone who had about 8 NES's just for that purpose.
My cosplay plans for 2022 (thus far): Vanir from Konosuba
My son's plans this year (thus far): Penguin Chiyo-chan from Azumanga Daioh

I learned a trick from Verizon help service. If your electronic device is broken put it in a jar of rice. I'm not sure how and why this works, but it's helped me EVERY time (Ipod, Cell phone, etc.). For your guitar however... that would take a lot of rice xDDD

I think you should try to send it in and get them to send you a new one.
or try and let it dry out for a few days ^^

On their website, somewhere.. I'm not sure where. Maybe at the bottom of the page, or in some small print somewhere, there should be a 'Contact Us' link. I found it eventually when I had problems. I think you can either email them, and if they decide it's a decent enough excuse, they'll email you back. But if your problem is something their electronic bot can't handle, then it will tell you to call them. And trying to get a hold of someone over the phone is even worse. I think someone named Max answers the phone, and never really tells you what you want to hear. Like I said, Harmonix is really difficult to get a hold of sometimes.

If Harmonix won't fix/replace it for you, I'll take a look at it.  I'd bet it's fried though.

@ Robot guitarist:
Weak.  It missed so many notes.  If people can Quad-star Delirium Expert on ITG2, people should be able to 100% that EASILY.
