I dunno if anyone's done a thread like this yet, but I was wondering. is anyone just doing a random cosplay this con like of a school girl or an oc or just a random creature thats not from anything.

I wouldn't say tetris or pocky boxes count as this but they can if you want. I mean anything as random. a tentacle monster, neko cat girl, anything.

I'm sure people are. I always see random cat girls walking around. Those are the people who didn't have enough time/money to do a costume but still wanted to participate (usually)

yeah last year I saw a bunch of school girl type characters that I couldn't recognize from anywhere. or girls in just Chinese dresses which I might do this year. lol

Someday I may make a cosplay for my FMA fanfic/novella/eventually novel-length main OC. What she weres most of the time is just a calf-length white sundress and a wide-brimmed white hat. Her hair is floor-length and white too. XD But I'd need someone to paint a slightly variated Philosopher's Stone Transmutation Circle on my back. ^^

At kcon 08 I dressed as a darker version of Ritsuka from Loveless, I just wore a bunch of black, mesh, and a collar I had. We came up with it being Ritsuka all dark when he's older or something, just random and fun and it turned out to only looosely be based on Ritsuka in the end (yet it still seemed the crowd favorite out of all my costumes, haha). What was hilarious is I got called "emo neko" a lot.

So, I've decided that next year I'm gonna wear the same outfit without Ritsuka's hair, ears, and tail. Instead I'll make brown cat ears and tail to match my hair and VOILA, I'm gonna be a catboy. It's always so fun and I feel cute while doing it (which is rare, hehe). And the looks on people's faces make me laugh when they find out I'm a catBOY. =P

im going as my own character for vampire knight so cute X3 shes going to be pure blood in secret and yuuki's body guard who is my friend i dont know which yuki she is going as i think its vampire yuuki if we manage to get a place in the skit contest you might see us on stage XD!

Last year I was a random vampire, saying I was an extra. I was going to do something kinda fun and look really cool...But didn't have the time. I was going to be an Origami Goddess/Fairy. I might do that this year.

I'm pretty much done with my cosplay, so I might do that for one of the days! I might be able to convince my friend to do something simular.

If I do an Origami thing, what could my friend do???

@nekovamp: ...Er, your friend could be a pipe-cleaner goddess or something ^_^; Sorry, it's just the first craft idea that came to mind.

Back on topic, I am planning to be a random monster thing based off a painting I made. It kinda looks like a demon because it's color scheme is red, black, yellow and it has horns, teeth, claws, spikes and stuff. But most of the costume is fur-covered, so I guess that makes me a fluffy demon thing. :3

the people in chinese dresses might have cosplayed people from ranma 1/2
