So I just tried to reserve a room at the hotel for next year and it says that our room block is already full!

I usually reserve a hotel room in like January or February and it's kinda ridiculous that it already totally full. So is there any way that we can expand our hotel block to include more of us staffers that are going to be willing to pay the full price?

It's probably the certain nights that you selected. Like Friday or Monday nights, the hotel block almost always has less of the two nights at both ends of the con than the two nights in the middle.

...yeah, I just tried to book a room for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night and was able to get it. Actually I just tried all four nights and it worked. WTB whatever you are smoking, pst.

same xD I booked it not to long after k con endedcause i remeber last year our room seemed a bit nicer than everyone elses I talked to and i booked it super early then to >.>

so pat does that mean you cant get a room in the hotel or with the codes?

well you might want to wait till they say if its in the hotel or just our block, you may still be to go as a normal guest but I dunno i'm fuzzy on the detals.

if not there is the executive tower?

The block isn't full..I tried it last night with all four (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday) nights and was able to book both a king room and a double room. Using the code.

..and I just tried it again, still able to. He probably just got an error or entered in the wrong dates.

Hmmm. Im not sure whats going on there. I KNOW it isnt full at this point. You might want to PM David (Kalira) and see whats up. Ill let him know to post something here for everyone to confirm that NO the block is NOT full at this time.

Maybe they have a bug in their system. lol.

Looks like i'll be doing quite a bit of reservation making this weekend. I have to make my plans for going to San Diego in July as well so I suppose it's time to get it all taken care of at once so I can figure out the budget.

I just was able to book a room, 4 in fact, from Friday thru Tuesday. There seem to be plenty available. Try again using the KUM code in the convention code box toward the bottom of the page.

For those that are having issues, please email me at hotel@kumoricon.org with your name and dates you tried to reserve so I can check to see what is going on also, please add hotel in the title so I don't get it mixed up with other emails.

OK, here is the deal. The hotel block is not full, just the room allotment for Friday. I am having some more rooms fluxed over to this day to accomidate. If you get a report that the room block is full, please let me know ASAP at hotel@kumoricon.org so I can et more rooms moved.

*sigh of relief* I'm glad I was crazy enough to reserve back in December.

A good tidbit of info (since we've been staying at Hilton-related hotels for a while), open a HiltonHHonors account. Its free, you get points for staying at hilton hotels and you can use those points for other reservations later!
