Author Topic: Please help me decide: Bulbasaur or Mew! <3 (Read 12035 times)

Thank you for viewing this! I am having a hard time picking a gijinka form. They both cost about the same and both would be sooooo fun, but I can only afford one this year! So, who has your vote: Bulbasaur or Mew?

Bulbasaur's main feature is his bulba-backpack, it really works!!! He'd also have red eyes and little fangs.

Mew's main features include a 'moving' tail and 'glow in the dark' blue eyes (like when he uses his power!!!).

I'd greatly appreciate input, I'm having the hardest time deciding between these two. Thank you so much!!! ^_^ (Note: Yes, I did draw these, that's why they don't look like the normal gijinka ya see for pokemon... I needed outfits that were a little more guy-friendly, heh).

I personally like Mew better as a pokemon but I like the design of bubasaur better. Plus more people would recognize you

Thanks for the suggestion, StarryShay. I've seen that one and it's nice but the style of the outfit just didn't agree with me (little too reminescent of the gymnastics days, haha). S'why I made my own. <3 (Anyone else notice leotards and pkmn gijinka seem to go hand in hand? XD)

Well Im still doing Adult Content this year so that means late hours for me, and daddy is a director so that means long hours for him the WHOLE convention so Baby Xander will be staying with grandparents this year. Next year he will be a cosplay fool.

Im still toying with the pokemon Idea, I just dont know which one to be. I think I will stay away from Pikachu, Raichu, and the Eevee evolutions as I have seen them allready but I am totally thinking first 150. I stopped being a hardcore pokemon fan after the second 150.

And OMG I love Kangaskhan! SUCH a cute Idea!

If you do happen to cosplay as Charizard, there may be a few of us who would like to borrow you as a summon for our FF mock-battle, heh. Do Pokemon and Final Fantasy mix? I think they do and I think it would be amazing to have someone summon a pokemon (and Charizard is one of my favorites), heh.

I really like the idea of Charizard. Such a kickass pokemon and yet, so unseen! Oh man, and FF meets PKMN? I would die of happiness, that'd be insanely awesome... There must be mock battles w/summonings!

I think because they are diggers, so, miners/diggers and such wear hardhats? You could get brown hard hats. =P

Ok, so after puzzling over how I could pull of charizard all day yesturday and today Im pretty set on the cosplay. I dont have a sketch ready yet mostly cause I cant decide on the dress I want to make. (All depends on weightloss/comfortablity etc. Im not a big girl or a stick by any means but I dont want to start making a dress that just wont work yet...) I have some great ideas though for most of it.

Also I wish I could say yes to your mock battle Eve, but I really have a hard time commiting to anything during the convention. Im normally running all over the place helping somewhere. It all depends on when you plan on doing it vs. the final schedual of panels for the convention. I had to have an Itenerary last year and I tend to be a gofer A LOT.

So Im wondering just how many people are going to be pokemon now....hmmm....Its really exciting.

Personally I know at least 3 people going as Pokemon: A Typloshion, An eevee, and a yet to be determined.
I am going as a Heracross, and perhaps a Registeel.
And at least 5 or so other people on the forums will be a pokemon.

So I'm guessing anywhere from 10-30 at the con.

Wow thats really impressive! I wouldnt mind being zubat either. Neon Blue and Purple....I love the colors SOOOOOOO much. And I love wings. Dont know if I want to do both though and Charizard definently wins if I only want to do one!

Wow! So many awesome Pokemon replies, I thought I might as well put down mine. xD But first, nice choosing the Bulbasaur. As much as I love Mew, I think your Bulbasaur design is just plain awesome. ^^

So my friend and I are going as Umbreon and Espeon. We considered the other evolutions, but these two seem to be done the least. Also we're going to try to go for a Lugia and Ho-Oh thing as well since I have NEVER seen any at conventions. I could only find one picture of a Ho-Oh cosplayer. ><

Hmmmm... Pokemon need adequate representation. What if they don't want to be caught?? XD Well, I guess they could just overpower the trainers... because, let's face it - puny human vs. creature with super powers... I can't imagine who would win. =P
