AMV Question for the AMV Guy

im still sorting my amvs from kcon 2008
im trying to find out what song was used
by iron chef soui's team 2

ive been try to search for the music by the few lyrics in the song

but all i can make out is the very beginning

this house is progressive
and progressive house must bump

and then at 01:30

it says something like

dj break your move
... got the groove

if anyone can help
or actually knows the song

that would be much appreciated

The AMV Guy is often active in the AMV forum section.  It's a child board of Fan Creations.  Putting your post there might be the best way to get his attention.

OK: Seems like you're looking for the music used for a particular AMV shown last year.

If you could answer the following, I might be able to track it down for you easier.

One: Was it shown in the Pre-Show, the Contest, the Show, or some other time during the con?
Two: What anime shows were used? What was the AMV about, visually?

for as to what time you had it showing
i dont know if it was just the pre show on the actual show
it was one of the iron chef videos

the problem w/ telling you what anime was in it
is that it used so much anime that i cant name it all

i do know it starts w/ an FMA skit w/ all chibi characters (Behind the Movie scenes)
where they are at a bar after the making of the movie
and at the very end they used the same fma skit
but w/ the elrich brothers getting ran over by a rush of dogs


with the song and the skit it starts w/ Iriz Hawkeye saying the opening lines
"This house is progressive and progressive house must bump"
and then it just pumps out the music

if that helps then kewl
if not i need to find the video again
i think i renamed it wrong

The music has some powerful, driving achromatic runs, which make it energetic and memorable to me - I know I heard it in one other AMV that's in my collection. Somewhere in my archives I recall that a Russian dood (or team) made a Vandread AMV with this same song.

I'll take a look but it might be a few weeks...

Got the Groove by SM-Trax

Your translation was a bit off so I down loaded the AMV to confirm that was it. In case you're using the song for lyrical content this is what the song says....

(Note: the AMV cuts off the first part of the song)

In the Beginning
There was house music
And house music had its own groove.
And from this groove
came the grove of all goves
but on day
some D.J.s declared
"Let this house be progressive"
and progressive house was born.

The D.J.s make you move,

I will also warn you that they cut and pasted that song heavily for the AMV, but im pretty sure that wont be a problem espially sence the original is is way more fluid that that one. Good Luck in whatever you're doing to this song, I cant wait to see it.
