Well, it's a little late for this thread but you have a valid question.
Kumoricon Lite is a small event that gives you a taste of Kumoricon. Each time we do it there are different things going on but usually we'll have karaoke, video games, and a viewing room. Sometimes we also have craft workshops, a couple vendors, costume contests, or panels. Even if there isn't an official contest you should still cosplay.
I have videos of the last ones on my youtube account, you should be able to find them by searching for "Kumoricon Lite". I walk into a window in one of them.
Now then, let's leave this thread be. Once the new board is elected and announces the next Kumoricon Lite we can make a new thread for that one.
