*I changed the title a bit so that others could respond to a broader topic.*

And Im totally Jealous that you got to see Dir en grey. Not fair. I think the best concert I went to was Nickelback/Breaking Benjimins/Three Days Grace a couple years ago.

It was even cooler because I went with a really uptight friend who was TOTALLY out of place at a rock concert and she didnt know that we had floor tickets. By the end of the night she was moshing. I was quite proud of her. :)

All the concerts I go to are free. :P

Tempest was pretty awesome though.  They played at the Highland Games in Kelso last year.

Best show I've been to was Mad Caddies. I haven't been to a lot though since I moved from a very small town and now that I'm in college I don't have the money to spend.

Something I was looking forward too was going to see Flight of the Conchords. Then I found out nosebleed seats were running for around $150 and any hope of going to that was lost.
WHY DO THE FORUMS SUCK SO BAD?

It was nice to go again.  My mom used to take my sister and I to the games every year when we were little.  Hopefully this year I'll have a bit more money to spend.

Devo was my best concert. It was so multi-media, vidoes included, but they were actually short films on a 16mm projector. Video wasn't real big back then, it kind of sucked really. MTV was still just a dream of Michael Nesmith, formerly of the Monkees.
Have Fun

I'm not actually here ;)

My favorite concert of all time was System of a Down, on their last official tour (not counting Ozzfest) before they went on "hiatus". I was in middle school at the time, and it was my first concert ever. It was totally amazing! I was with my dad and we weren't in a mosh pit or anything, but SoaD live is absolutely amazing. And the lights were, ahem, off the hook. -shivers-

I would have loved to see System! That does sound pretty epic.

My first concert was 3 Doors Down and Seether when I was 17. My friend bailed on me the day of the concert and I ended up going with my mom. I thought it was going to be so terrible but I really had a lot of fun. (Plus parents tend to have monies and can buy tour shirts.....yay!)

*lol even if your not here Im sure many will be happy with the ninja oslapedo appearances :) *

Tangerine Dream in Bucharest, 1982.
So effing LOUD, when I opened my mouth and aimed it towards the speakers on stage I could feel the air in the bottom of my lungs vibrating, and you could also feel your jeans vibrating on your legs. The bass and low keyboard notes felt through the concrete floor, like artillery rounds landing.  I went outside with some friends and you could FEEL the bass in the SIDEWALK through your SHOES.

TD was well known for playing the LOUDEST concerts in Eastern Europe. Basically, if they played in your town, you were AT the concert.

Then there was this one other concert of The Dixie Dregs, in Belchertown MA, at a joint called The Rusty Nail. The place was burned to the ground the next morning. SRSLY.

Havn't been to many concerts, but my community holds an arts festival every month. You see a bunch of street musicians and stuff. I've recently become attached to a modern jazz group made of fairly talented guys, one of which I was on a swim team with.

...Either The Slants or Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

The Slants because I loved the atmosphere. I knew the people, I knew the music, and got a chance to be in the front of the crowd. :3

Trans-Siberian Orchestra because they have amazing pyrotechnics.

I was so pissed, Alice Cooper came to the Redmond fair last year, and I was off at camp.
I had a huge hissy fit.
Other than the slants at con last year, I've never been to a concert. Not many people come around here, they all go to portland or somewhere much bigger than here.
I think Bowling For Soup might come down somewhere around here.
I love them!
I watched one of their concerts live and it was amazing!
