I had one a few weeks ago that was VERY frightening ( and epic, as usual) . It was the atmosphere and horrible injuries really)
WARNING only for those who like to read.. A LOT. I wish my dreams weren't so long.
I was my ninja-esq self, and as always was accompanied by this very large white wolf.
I have no idea who or he is or why he's there. My friend jokes that hes a 'zanpakutoh'. Really, it's the best way to describe him.
I was.part of an elite guard ..or something. I lived in the castle of the people I worked for.
I was reading the report of a mission that I was being sent on;
**********
Four bodies had been found in the rubble of a mansion that had burnt down hundreds of years ago.
The fire had was speculated to have been an accident caused by the insane mage who lived in the mansion.
The entire city had disintegrated within seconds of the fire starting.
The four bodeis had been chared beyond recognition, burnt by an energy equal to that of a 'a nuclear bomb', yet the energy itself was found to be composed of plasma, rather than fusion.
The strangest part was, these bodies had been found only two days prior as was the time of death.
*************
I was annoyed because it was just an investigation. I told my boss to leave it for the noobs, but he insisted that I go.
He also sent along two guides, and a white mage. Which also irritated me because they'd just be in the way.
Byakuryu ( the wolf) was following me out, I told him he wasn't needed and would just be a waste of his time.
He replied " Fine, but don't except me to come and save your ass" A sentiment I passed to the mage ( white mages piss me off)
We arrived at this ruined city to see that it was quite alive. There were people everywhere and the buildings looked brand new. Even the mansion.
Inside, it was very different. It was pitch black, with broken windows and furniture, dust everywhere. Like the scene of a horror game.
There were no bodies, anywhere. We decided to split up, I went alone and the others went ..somewhere else
While I was searching, I noticed a long jagged, shadow attached to my own. This made no sense as it was pitch black. I turned to look behind me and see a blinding light which slowly grew. As it came closer, I could see a bolt of lighting speeding down the shadow like a fuse, torching everything in it' path.
Since I had left my weapon behind, all I could do was run.. As I did so the building was collapsing behind me, leaving me little room to run. Then all of the pieces came together..
The report mentioned four bodies, chard instantly by an incredible energy. There were four of us inside the mansion.
All of us were running at once. As we did so, the fuses would follow, destroying the building in their wake. Eventually, we would be trapped, all four fuses would meet and explode with four times the amount of energy, more then enough to destroy the entire city.
That report had not been telling the past, but the very near future!
Being one who truly hates the idea of the 'preordained' I resolved to stop and let the lightening bolt hit me. I knew I'd die, but once a fuse is burnt out, it's dead.
Hopefully, the absence of one lighting bolt would make enough difference that it would not destroy everything else. Also, that maybe the other three would figure this out.
The lightening, hit me ( I know you can't feel physical pain in dreams, but I could in every other way. If that makes any sense..which it does not) oh dear god it hurt BAD.
Everything went black, I woke up, amazed, but more disappointed that I wasn't dead.
I remember thinking " dear god I think I've melted. ' I was coughing smoke and what was left of my clothes had melted into my skin.
I finally manged to drag myself up but every movement hurt like hell.
With the fuse burnt out I was free to continue my search for the others. In doing so I noticed that a large portion of the building had been destroyed and was continuing to crumble.
I stumbled along until I came to one large room, obviously the study of the mage who had lived there. Before I could really investiate the other three came running it ( it was the last room standing) bringing those damned fuses with them.
They took one horrified look at me stating that I looked like 'the walking dead' and huddled together as the room got smaller and smaller bringing all there fuses together. I watched as the remainder of the building started to crumble
I growled " Oh you f-king moro-"
The last thing I saw was this black shadow of what seemed to be the charred remains of a mage, floating above us.

This was only the first half of the epic story but I'll spare you. This alone was too much.
