So I saw on the MEWcon forums that some Vancouver peeps want to have a meetup but don't know where. So I suggested Janzen Beach, right smack in between. I'm suggesting the same thing for this side. The plan so far is to meet on the 31st. We would round up at Burger King at noon and go to whenever, and the 6 bus would be your best friend if you don't have wheels yourself. Anyone who went to the con and misses their friends already, or hasn't gone and wants to meet new friends, bring a costume or yourself and join in.

So who wants to go raid the northernmost mall in town?

I want to..and if it was a sunday I might be able too. but can't on saterdays, it is hard to get that day off without loosing hours.

That's what I've been waiting to hear.
One count for the 30th. So if no one else has any suggestions, the 30th should be enough time to wait and prepare for.

17th also works for me. I'm also not really restricted to weekends by my current schedule, so my vote is really for anything after the 15th and before the 23rd.

With all the suggestions so far, I'm looking at the 17th. I know nekovamp13 said they couldn't make the 16th, so what about the day after?

That's what the plan should be. I've never been to the Janzen Beach Shopping Center, only bounced off it to catch the bus home. So if anyone wants to explore it or revisit it, we round up at Burger King and head out from there until the majority of people have to head home.

First, I failed to remember that Burger King was on the other side of the freeway from Janzen Beach.

Second, my intent for Burger king was to be a central meeting spot which the attendees coming across the bridge would see first.

Third, I arrived at Noon and headed out at 1, and ran into one of the last minute attendees in Target.
We went back to the bus stop and then BK to see if anyone was running late, talked a little bit, then went our separate ways. In report, Janzen Beach has a Target, a Toys R' Us, a Home Depot, an Office Depot and Staples, Best Buy, and a Sporting Goods store. If anyone wants to try this again in February, let me know what weekend is open and we'll see what forms.

Did you check inside? I was wondering if I should have sat outside, though I was hiding inside away from the seagulls fighting with the blackbirds over food. I headed out to the mall at 1:30, so I must have missed everything by a few minutes.
