Some questions

So, I might not even be going due to various reasons, but if I did, I know who I want to cosplay as and all that.

But I hate cutting my hair, dying it, wearing wigs, or messing with it at all, aside from putting it up.

Would it totally ruin my cosplay if my hair was a different length and color, or would it be okay in your opinion?

Well it IS okay but I wouldnt do it.....hair is an important part in cosplay beacuse.....in lets say Fruits Basket they all have the same school uniform and the only diffrence is their hair....and you cant make your face animeish....so hair is what counts sometimes...ylou should atleast try to make the hairstyle or wear a wig....but you dont have too....it depends how unique their outfit is and how close yout hair is to that person your cosplaying as

The hair style I can do, but not the length. And my bangs are different, but I don't mind cutting my bangs.

It is my personal opinion that if you are going to cosplay, you should do it to the best of your ability. I think of it this way-if you're attempting to look like a  character, (the point of cosplaying) you should match everything. Including hair.

yeah but even if you cant go you should still try cosplaying ^^....maybe add hair extensions

Is your hair too short or too long?  It would be very helpful to know who exactly you were going to 'splay because you get a bit of lee-way with certain characters.

Like Tohru from fruits basket.  In the manga, her hair changes length at random.  Sometimes it's SOOO long and other times,when she has it in pigtails, they don't even touch her shoulders XD
