Gijinkas and Mascots

This a general thread for people who are doing Gijinkas (humanized version of non-human characters) and Mascots (fur suits, etc...).

Here you can say who/what you're planning on being, post your designs, and even get help on how to do something!

I'll even post a list. Just say what character you're being and from what series you're from ^^

And just a note, this is mainly for non-Pokemon Gijinkas, since there is already a Pokemon thread. But you can still post here if you wish.

Well, yeah....Pretty much. But this thread is for ALL gijinkas and furies. Not just Sonic. That's just the group me and my friends are doing.

And random, I believe so. I remember that Silver at Kumo '08 which was held there.

Well, I know a bunch of people who are planning on doing all the Eeveelutions in Gijinka.

Me personally, I am doing Glaceon.

The photo in my avatar is from the Creation Station at Anime Evolution 2006. I went as one of the dolphins from "So Long, And Thanks For All the Fish!" from "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams. The way the costume was made involved pieces of a kids' costume and were a plush material. That was how I accidentally found out what Furries are. When I saw your thread, not knowing what a Gijinka is, I saw it spelled "Furies" and, having been in Greece, was  thinking someone was going to cosplay  the Furies in Greek mythology

You may also consider using mascot costume as apposed to fur-suit.  It tends to push less buttons and doesn't imply some of the objectionable things that have been stuck onto the word "furry".  To this day my wife still is fighting the stigma of being a "furry artist".  It really peeves me.  I suppose that the majority of the staff of Warner Brothers are "furry artist" I mean they drew Animaniacs and Bugs Bunny!  How more furry can you get?  Grumble grumble.
