« on: September 29, 2010, 09:08:28 pm »
I'm need to figure out a way to color the frame of my glasses without ruining it. (i need them a differant color for a cosplay)

Does anyone know of a way to do that? Or if it's even possible?

Acrylic paints easily wash or scratch off. You can even put on glaze over to make it shiny and you should be able to scratch it off. Sculpey glaze at least, from my experience.
Nail polish might also work (w/ remover) but test it out first.

I would NOT try nail polish- when it decides to stick, it can really stick, and the polish remover might damage your frames.

Craft acrylics might work better- they stick to more surfaces than art acrylics and are generally opaque and will probably come off with a little soapy water.  Just the cheap kind you can buy at Fred Meyer's or Michael's.
