Old School D&D
« on: November 28, 2010, 06:00:56 pm »
I just re-found (it was in the garage) one of my boxes of D&D books.
Code: [Select]
ADnD 2e:  Ravenloft: Monsters Compendium Appendix ii: Children of the Night
 DnD:     Character Record Sheets
ADnD 2e:  Player's Handbook x3
ADnD 2e:  PHB: the Complete Psionic's Handbook
ADnD 2e:  PHB: The Complete Thief's Handbook
ADnD 2e:  PHB: The Complete Priest's Handbook
ADnD 2e:  PHB: The Complete Fighters's Handbook
ADnD:     PHB: The Complete Wizard's Handbook
ADnD:     PHB: The Complete Bard's Handbook
ADnD:     Players Handbook
ADnD:     Dungeon Master Guide
ADnD 2e:  Dungeon Master's Guide
ADnD:     Dungeon Master Screen & Master Index x2
ADnD:     Dungeon Master Option: High-Level Compaigns
ADnD:     DMG: Sages & Specialists
 DnD:     Forgoten Realms: Demihuman Deities
 DnD:     Various DM Screens x3
ADnD:     Monstrous Compendium Annual Volume 3
ADnD:     Monstrous Compendium Annual Volume 4
ADnD 2e:  Tome of Magic
ADnD 2e:  Dark Sun World: Asticlian Gambit
 DnD 3.5: Player's Handbook

Also, the two bags of dice I found with the books. (Im assuming the rest of my dice are with the rest of the books) sum up to:
Code: [Select]
2: Yes :P
 3: 2
 4: 25
 6: 69
 8: 38
10: 63
12: 26
20: 45
30: 3
meaning, I can make a total of 25 complete sets {Limited by d4's}

Also, found my figurines:

Anyone interested in running a D&D 2e game sometime?
I don't really like the new 3.0+ rules, people yell at me for saying it, but its to pragmatic, to rigidly defined/simplified. The rules fit better in a electronic game then a table top.
As you see in the list I have a 3 Player Handbooks, 2 Dungeon Master's Guides.
You can easily run 2 games at the same time.
I also have a 'world' AE a pre-made adventure for someone who doesn't want to make there own :P

So ya, get back into to days when DnD was GOOD! Anyone who remembers Thac0 is awesome in my book!

I'm looking to see if anyone is interested. I'm in portland. I might have a friend in beaverton willing to host if some interest is generated.
But it seems not many people here like D&D :(

Just a suggestion - if you're still in contact with your old D&D group mates, you can always try running something online through Skype (for conference-call chat at no charge), rpgtonight.com (for a shared map), and rpgp.org/dice (for a shared dice room).
This is my serious voice. Otherwise, I'm just another anime fan, not a moderator.

I've played some tabletop games online before, its not as fun.
Thats why i'm looking for real people to play with. If I wanted to play online, i'd go play something like wow.. {if i had an account}

I'm used to rolling with 3rd edition or 3.5, but that won't stop my favorite 4d6 from rolling up a new character and pouring through a 2nd ed handbook that I picked up at a Goodwill not long ago.

I can journey into Portland like I've done several times before. Question is, where in Portland would we meet and what days at what time? Weekday afternoons are fine with me as long as they aren't on Wednesdays. (Amtgard LARP from 3-5) And as far as ideal locations go, Guardian Games is a good option. Otherwise I'll see about trying to come and roll some 20's with y'all.

Day 2 Hitmonchan and Kenny
Day 3 SS Future Trunks (DBZ)
Day 4 Jason Silverheart Pirate OC

I've never played AD&D, just 3.0.  I didn't like the rules after that.  Might be interested.
