I need to know if it is going to be on the 18th of Dec. so I can cancle my cosplay meet-up, and tell everyone to go to this one. I just made my cosplay meet-up; so my sis can understand what cosplay is all about.

Hey, a lot of people won't be able to go on a Monday...I know I won't be able to, I will most likely have work then, and everyone has already planned for the 18th.

I don't think that Monday, the 20th is the best choice since everyone has their sights set on the 18th, and that is when the most people can make it.

:/ can you not make it that day or something?

Any staff members of Kumoricon will not be able to go... We have a meeting and party at is mandatory for last years staff... So that is mr and then Kai and Aaron are going to the meeting to be cause they are going to on staff this year... So the head person will not even be there!

It's just that you guys could have said something more about that earlier when everyone was trying to decide the actual date, we could have figured something out, it's just that Luvan1me raises a good point, they have already asked for that day off of work, and the holidays are coming so it's hard to get away from family.

I'm having a similar problem with my meet. I might not be able to go to it, but I'm trying hard, and I have put a second in command up if I can't go, being Kristi, and Ashley.

You guys. Why don't we hold this off until a later date. Maybe when it's less hectic, not so close to the hollidays?
It's not like we're all going to die if we don't have another one in the same year....
I mean, I understand people have asked for days off, but seeing as almost everyone on the list so far, is unable to attend, no point in having it also if the leader of this event isn't able to attend to control things, right?
Seems most of the people that asked for the day off, are staff and have to attend a meeting anyway.
Maybe if we can set this up again, we could all get into a MSN chat or something, that way no one is left out and the leader can help with the desisions. It seems a few people desided to take this into their own hands, which led to all of this heticness.

I have to totally agree with this,but there is a couple things I want to add in near future when people attempt to plan something. Make sure you actually have the time to make your scheduled meet-up,Yes there are those occasions where certain things happen to pop up,I just prefer to have people who are devoted to what they 'want' to do on the date stick with it,unless otherwise contact someone who is able to tell the individuals on here about little issues that arise.

To many bad runs-ins with people who don't comply what they seem to start >.< not attacking Aaron or anything,but I wouldn't want to step in and take lead of this knowing my weekends are busy in general and upcoming jobs and volunteering for me again..Hope this works out something in future for everyone,I would like to attend but I'm very unsure atm..

OKAY!!! LISTEN UP!!!!!!
Because of all the complications the Y/Y picnic is cancled until next year (2011).
Aaron and some others will be meeting up on the 20th and there is some planning for a different meet up on the 18th.

Not meaning to really take over, but we need to just accept that the meet wont happan this year.
So, please, only post here if you're talking about the meet on the 20th that Aaron is holding.

Yeah, I think people would enjoy it more if the weather was nicer and a bit warmer. The weather does affect peoples' moods afterall (at least according to myself and some others); so that would be something to consider.
