PJ party-type panels?
« on: May 12, 2011, 01:26:50 pm »
I've run a couple PJ parties here at Kcon, and I know a couple of other people have done some too. I was sitting here, planning my next one, and I got to wondering: What did those other panels look like? 'cause I'm a loser, and I've never been to anyone else's.

Soooo my question is
What do you guys do at your PJ party panels?

Depends the theme. Usually the PJ panels are for an anime or something.
I did a KH panel last year and we played some inprove games and did jokes that made sense to the series to entertain the audience.

Yeah, I know that stuffs gonna differ by series, but usually those are general activities that can be geared towards a specific ref.
So a good chunk of your content was geared towards presenting something, and then a little bit was audience participation?

Well that was the plan, but it didn't really happen since the host was inexperienced >>

But that's probably the best. I think it depends how many people show up, b/c with smaller groups you can do group games and such. But larger groups you probably want to stay with just you doing stuff and having the audience suggested things. It keeps it a lot more organized and controlled that way.

I am wondering.... many of the cons I go to have some late-night programming, and I am wondering this: Who's up for a KumoriCon Pajama Party? We could play musical chairs, share jokes, you name it! Anyone got any ideas, because I'd love to hear them! :D
