I have 46" of freakin' anime now! WoooooooHooooooooo! lol

WE had to go to the store to get my wife a shirt for Tye Dye shirt day. We found one shirt, has Ducks on it of course. BUt walked out with a new TV and  Blu-Ray player. And lucky me the guy I talked on the phone to at Dish network, got me all hooked up, so this is the screen I am using to write this tonight. Took a bit extra to figure out how to get to full screen when I use the computer.

Yes, I have a 46" computer monitor now too!

I might get coal for Xmas.

Bleh. 46" will get you a normal looking picture with all the widescreen encoding these days. I'm still using a flat-crt like I deserve. I still can't get used to 16:9 for some reason. Even my MP3 player uses the old square so you can imagine how horrified I was when I finally bought a tablet last year. I guess it wears down the shock when I finally buy a new portable computer.

I guess I really like zooming from 1024x768(web/anime/IM) to 1600x1200(gaming/manga) to 1920x1440(coding) when possible. I'll probably get a second monitor some day but for the life of me I can't figure out where I'd put it. Anyway, have fun with your widescreen whatsit. I'm going to stick to squares until I actually find an alternative that doesn't kill my coding joy.

Thats a good size...we have a 42" in our bedroom. Wanted a 46" but the price difference was enough to talk me out of it considering I also bought it on impulse back when I did lol. You are gonna love that thing!

Speaking of impulse buying (I'm bad about it...), I got a new Saeco Sirena Espresso machine last Friday. That thing is freakin' awsome! I love coffee & am a bit of a snob about it...that machine definitely lives up to my expectations lol.

Strange, I actually prefer widescreen for coding.  Especially if I'm using any kind of IDE.  But if you're doing all your coding in vi or something, then I guess you wouldn't really care.
