Queer/GLBT Meet up

There was a thread about this already, but since it seems to have died... If there are other people who are interested in having a queer/GLBT meet up at the con, let's figure out a time and location to meet up. I think it'd be a really fun way to get to meet other people in the queer and anime community.

Right now, I think that Sunday might be the best time, that way we can get the word out on Saturday about it.  We can have it around 2pm or so, and maybe all have lunch together (at the Lloyd center mall, the con itself, or we could go over to the waterfront).

Let me know what you think, and tell other people about it. The more the merrier!

I think we'll plan on doing it at 2pm on Sunday, and we'll meet in the main lobby area. Of course, I don't want to schedule this at the same time as any big events at the con, so the time may be subject to change.

However, I'm planning on making some buttons that say "Queer Meet Up" or something, which myself, my sister and probably a friend of mine will be wearing. So if you want to know when and where it is, just look around for me. I'm female and I'll be cosplaying as either Blue (Wolf's Rain), Xellos (Slayers) or Chichiri (Fushigi Yuugi), but keep an eye out for the buttons. I'll bring some extras too, in case anyone wants to help spread the word.

Let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions about what we should do or where we should go.

Why not Sunday? I have no problem with doing it on Saturday, but I thought it'd be better to have it on the second day so we could get the word out.

Let me know what you think; if Saturday's better, I'm fine with changing it.

Okay, after looking at the preliminary schedule, I think the best time to do it will be either 11am or 3pm on Sunday.

Which one do you think is better? 3 will be right in between cosplay rehearsals and the actual event (which is at 4), so it might be a little tight. I think my vote is for 11am right now, but I'm open to any suggestions.

So: 11am, 3pm, or sometime on Saturday?

3pm works for me on Sunday, seeing as we'll be doing Pocky Club things in the morning hours of Sunday. But I can sneak away for a little bit if I must. ^^;;

Let's go with 11am then, since it probably won't be as busy as 3. Besides, if we're going for lunch, I'd rather eat at 11 then wait till 3.

All right, sorry to change the time *yet again*, but according to the new and (hopefully) final schedule there's a cosplay contest scheduled for 11:30, so I think I'll move the Queer Meet Up to 10:30am. Sound good? If that doesn't work out, it'll be at 3pm instead.

Just keep an eye out for me or one of the other people wearing Queer Meet Up buttons!
