Is Google+ worth it? The last thing I want right now is another social media account, but if it has some groundbreaking features or functionality, I'll give it a shot. I just don't have too many complaints about Facebook right now, and I was finally able to get myself down to one social media site. I'm not sure if I want to jump back into the juggling act, lol.

I'll still use my Facebook account. I don't understand why a lot of people dislike Facebook, since I rarely have any issues with it. But, if there are lotsa people using Google+ it's worth just setting one up for me. Then if I ever want to go on there to talk with them, I have that option. ^^

The one nice thing about google+ is the circle function. you can have a friends circle, cosplay circle/con circle, family circle and you can choose which circle sees what things. Like if you have a status update that really only your con friends would appreciate you can only show it to them and no one else. You can also do this with pictures and several other things. That seems to be the major difference that I saw. It also seems to run a lot smoother than fb. Lately fb hasn't been working for me. Like it wont post my comments and I can't get to my messages and what not.

Ah, yeah that circle function sounds awesome. That is the one feature I have always been trying to manipulate FB into providing (with selective posts and what-not), but it never really works. To have that would be great. Good to know!

Privacy issues. ANYTHING you post to Facebook belongs to them and they can use it however they want.

Also, FB glitches up a LOT for me and there's a few more issues I'm irritated with. All in all, I prefer Google+. There's far less issues with it than there are with FB- Which is sad, because Google+ is still in beta testing.

I am a LATE ADOPTER.

All my friends jumped in on LJ, then MySpace, which are now rather 'toast' compared to Facebook, and then Tumblr comes along and now this.

I am going to wait 'til I retire, then look around and see whether anything has stood the test of time (like ASCII text sent as e-mails - that's still going after 20 years or more,) or what's new at THAT time.

Also, once I retire I will feel free to post my political views and other philosophical beliefs without the threat of being fired, or having to worry about what a future employer might think...

Honestly the page looks a lot like flickr... oO;

I never got into twitter cause it seems more cellphone related then FB is. It kind of has "circles", more like lists and they're really hard to find how to work. They totally were a last minute thought that they haven't thought to address since putting them in.
