hall cosplay?

ok... im very confused... this is my first year reading the blurb about hall cosplay contest....

can someone tell me what it is exactly ;-; i feel sooo odd asking about this

The Hall Cosplay contest was kinda informal...  I had a staffer running around the convention with a clipboard, ribbons, and a camera.  When she found a great costume, she got your name, took a picture, and gave you a ribbon for your badge.  We did this Saturday and Sunday... on Monday we went thru the pictures and picked a few of our faves and announced them at Closing Ceremonies.

We just wanted to recognize all those amazing costumes out there, that may or may not enter the Cosplay Contest.  No prizes were given out beyond the ribbons, but the pics we took will be on the website eventually

I think it's a nice thing to have. I kind of wish it'd move over to sakuracon but that's also a bigger attendees amount that might make it too chaotic.

I lost my ribbon about two hours after getting it.  It kind of made me sad, but not really.

When me and my 2 friends were Sebastian, Ciel & Lizzy from Black Butler we got those and were so confused. haha
