Polyphonic Undertow is looking for a male or female vocalist.

Genre: alternative / progressive rock

About: Polyphonic Undertow is a band that writes music based off of anime series. We write our songs based off of an anime series we like. The lyrics are written as to reflect the anime series, and not necessarily make them sound like a synopsis.

Our current goals are to get this CD going, and start playing out at local cons, etc. Even tour the Pacific Northwest to various cons!

Our main, or casual attire, will be traditional Japanese school uniforms, and for cons, we will cosplay as our favorite characters!

* Devoted, dedicated, and reliable.
* Transportation to and from practice.
* Positive and upbeat attitude. No egos!
* Must be able to sing, keep pitch and timing. No, you don't have to be a pro.
* MUST be committed. Yes, people have lives, but be able to find time to dedicate to this project.
* You don't have to write the lyrics, but if you want to help, cool!
* Enjoy the aspects of the band theme and help see its success!
* Being a night owl helps!

* We have our own practice space near 26th and Barbur Blvd. in Portland.
* We practice currently Saturday nights @ 9pm.
* We have nice gear, but it would help to have your own vocal processing gear.
* Plenty of samples to go around!

Well.. We changed our name over a week ago. We are now called: Polyphonic Undertow.

We are still looking for a singer as of 10/10/2011!! The anime theme still applies, but were kinda not advertising it on the site. However, you will notice in our band bio we do mention it. 

We would still like a talented female singer(since our songs sound better sung by female), but a male singer is ok too.  The cons and costumes still apply!  Just skim over the first post!

We are developing a fan base, and we want to start booking shows!
