I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in having a cosplay meetup at Clackamas town center on the 14th. It's been getting nicer outside so it would be great weather to just hang out and stuff. Plus i never get to see you guys D:>

When: Saturday, April 14th.
Where: Clackamas town center.
Time: Noon.
Meetup spot in the mall: The foodcourt, sense it's the easiest place to find.

You can cosplay as whoever you would like to :3

I really want to but I'd have to check my work schedule.
I won't really be cosplaying, unless I order my wig before that time, but it would be nice to go.

Yes anyone can go, Yes it's the 14th of this month(says so on the first post ^^; ), and not entirely, but it's preferred. It is a cosplay meetup afterall

. I'll see if I can go, my mum would need to approve which will be hard to do, would it be ok if she came or just meet you guys first? Don't want to be a joy-kill with her tagging along.

Oh, I might be able to cosplay, I forgot there was one important thing that survived from an old costume, so I might be able to go, I'd still need to know work schedule and see if my friend would come with me, we'd probably take the bus.

Um...Well if she wants to come meet us first, then that's alright, but i'd prefer if we didn't have any parents tagging along .u.; That's happened before and the meetup didn't turn out good at all...

I'm sure if the parent understood and was a fan of anime as well, it would be fine. Like my friends mother, she's really awesome, she loves anime and video games, she took us to our first con and she cosplayed even. But if the parent only knows about anime from their child, never seen or had anything to do with the whole "Otaku" thing, then yeah, that would be understandable, sometimes those kinds of parents are downers.

The one that tagged along with us during one meetup didn't let us say anything >< She was constently telling us to stop being loud(even though we were outside) and telling us to stop making inappropriate jokes and swearing...Even though most of the people there were well over 18.

Yea, I know what you mean. She isn't huge into it. I understand she means good but I feel like she should be more trusting. The worst that would happen is that she'd want to meet you then just go shopping and wouldn't bother us, but would you be ok with that?

That's fine ^^ And you can tell her not to worry at all. I know my way around the area and the farthest we would go would be Toys-R-Us (which is only a short walk from the mall). I wouldn't go anywhere where i feel anyones safety would be in danger.

Oh wow, that must've been really bad. Yeah, after dealing with a parent like that, I would understand.

And if I go, then that will be the time I can meet your mother and show that I'm not a creepy person... Well, not very creepy.

I think it'll also put her at ease for Kumoricon, meeting me quite a few months ahead of time.

Oh yea! I never thought about that! She'd feel so much better, yet I have a strange feeling that she'll be texting me every so often to make sure I'm fine. I bet I'd be the youngest there unless my friends come along (don't worry they love anime also) so that might be a deal breaker. I'll have to check, and I might have to make up a little white lie to make her let me come (I hope it doesn't come to that). I'll ask her tonight if I can go for sure.

I just realized that its on a saturday so my friend can't go but I'll ask my family if they can take me. So far I'm not scheduled for work that day so it should be fine with me, I just gotta find a ride.

Its fine, its just that the only time I go out of town is when I can go with my friend. My parents are way too busy to take me so I just have to see if my aunt can take me or something.

These are the times where I wish I had a car... Or my license for that matter...

Can't go, got babysitting

. I was looking forward to going also! But babysitting is really the only thing that helps pay for my cosplay and the $45 ticket to enter Kumoricon (so wishing I could pre-register).

I'm sorry, but i'm not going to change the date of this meetup. If i do that just for one person, then everyone else will start saying "oh that day won't work for me, move it to this date" And then it could end up being two months from now that we end up having a meetup(It's happened before, so that's why i just like to stick with the date that was already planned).
I may have another meetup this summer or something, but for now, this meetup is sticking to it's original date.

Its no problem. Today my coworker was saying Trays and I thought he said Cherries.

Oh well, I 'm only allowed to buy cosplay if I use my own money (which could take months) and there's no way my parents would pay for it so I try my hardest not to miss any opportunity to help me get a better cosplay.

Okay, if I don't work, I can go. If I can't get a ride, my parents will take me and they will go off by themselves, my mom is sort of cool with the whole Anime scene, she has been watching Ouran, but my dad would probably think we're weird, he's a sci-fi man, mostly Doctor who. So, if they take me, it'll be me and a friend, if I find another ride, it'll be me and two friends.

I was going to cosplay the Pokemon Roserade, but after recent events it looks like it'll be out of action for a while...

I probbably will wear my super-elaborate combination kimono/lolita dress. I know it isn't cosplay, but when I wore it to Kumoricon last year, people kept asking what anime character I was.

She's been letting me borrow her Vampire Knight manga. I'm up to vol 9, while she still has 10-13.

Hopefully I can get my wig to not be mean, its really thin and I had to tie part of it back to cover up my actual hair.

Not working Saturday thus far, still checking schedule everyday just to make sure. I don't know if my parents are still giving me a ride, I am pretty sure they've forgotten about it but I'll remind them tomorrow.
