So yeah.... I am taking Yami Yugi everywhere else so why not my home con!

While it is very up in the air for financial reasons, as well as nervousness, I plan to crossplay as Dark Signer Carly from 5D's.

She is so awesome like that and I have a Fortune Lady deck in real life to go with it!

Haha, believe me, I REALLY want to.
It may be a crossplay because im a male, but a couple female friends of mine say I could pull it off. (I hope they are right)

The only thing standing in my way from doing this is money. I have little other options other then having it commissioned for me.
Hmm, I should probably post about that soon to at least plan ahead.

And I don't know. I have sooo many cosplays going to con already...I'll decide closer to con and of course it will depend if I have it done XD

Yeah, that makes me wonder... How does anyone take more than 3 cosplays to Kcon??? Kcon is 3 days, so you could wear different one each day, but anything more seems to rushed on each individually...

Oh, and do you know of any good local(ish) people who could commission my cosplay???

On a related note, it looks like I can actually buy my cosplay, err, MOST of it on Ebay. That simplifies things a bit.
However, I am still on my own for Carly's sleeve/gloves and boots. Not to mention I will need a wig. sigh.

Any suggestions for the sleeve/gloves and boots?

Hmm.... I'm thinking about these things more and I am actually wondering what the best approach for my cosplay is....

On the one hand, I can buy most of it on ebay. This would provide me with everything needed except for her boots, sleeve/gloves and wig obviously.
The main costume on ebay is about $80 + shipping. (Which is high...)

This isn't too bad I don't think, but I still have the 3 remaining parts of the cosplay I need to take care of. And I have no idea what kind of prices I will be looking at...

On the other hand, I could have someone commission it for me as one big thing, but again, price won't be cheap and quality can vary depending on who does it.

So I guess I am asking for your opinions guys...
What is the best way to go about this?
Ebay? Commission? A combination of both? (You get the idea.)

More specifically, can any of you guys help me specifically or are your schedules full?

It is a hard one.... My mom does commissions but she charges $15 an hour and Fabric Cost.... And does amazing job! After Fanime I can get together with you and plot out more and check out the other sites and talk to other commissioners.

Okay, I need a suggestion or two please.

Basically I've decided that I will most likely buy my Dark Signer Carly cosplay on ebay. Seems good enough. (I hope)

However, as I've said before, that still leaves the sleeves and boots to take care of. Neither is too difficult I suppose, but it is awkward still none the less.

For her boots, what would you all recommend specifically? As I'm not a girl in real life I have no knowledge in the shoe department. lol
Any specific brands and names would be greatly appreciated.

The other thing is a matter of the wig.
Would I be better off getting a character specific wig, or a basic generic wig and having a friend style it?

I think we should have one big photoshoot, probably out at the gazebo or somewhere people will actually see us and take lots of pictures getting more yu-Gi-Oh lovin; XD at around noon - 2 time frame.. unless otherwise has been decided?

I'd have to pass on the subway thing with y'all though because im gluten-intolerant TT__TT I'm looking forward to another awesome photoshoot though.

I say we have two still. That way for those who can't make it on the first day can go the 2nd day.. also mainly is cause i want to go to it also but depending on my panel it might be messed up.. and that's not too fun with that happening. depending if they accept mine or not.

On a different note, I'm having such a pain finding knee boots for Dark Signer Carly's outfit.
The first part is that Good Will only has so much stuff, not to mention that it looks weird for a boy to be looking at girls shoes. Especially since I don't girl with me to divert attention to. lol
The other problem then in turn becomes going online. I am not a girl so I do not know what brands or names to look into or even where to look for good results. I also don't want to buy something brand new at those big retail prices.
I need help from any female cosplayers here. lol
