I do not like the spelling cow.
It will not let me post with people's screen names.
I think that it needs to be fixed so that we can post in a much less constrictive way. In a way where SPELLING is OPTIONAL.

I would love to, it should not come up automatically though. I do not want to submit to a COW.

I do not want POP UPS on my forum. If I wanted pop-ups I'd use AOL.

Edit- Our friendly neighborhood mod Gus came to my rescue.

You can disable the spelling cows in your Profile by saying "NO!" to "Always Check Spelling?"

LOL I got rid of it. You go to your PROFILE and click the box for "NO" when it asks if you want spelling checked before each post.  :D

We had a cow? Was it cute? I musta missed it. See what happens when you spend a week horking up your lungs instead of posting here? You miss a damn fine bbq, that's what
*sad*
I love Neko_Chan's drawing :)

AHA!!! now I see the cow. It has taken exception to my use of the word "musta" which, as we all know, IS in fact a word. Take THIS jgfyuk, fgtyj Cow!

Funny... this must be a new feature. I bet they decided to leave the default as "spell check on." Possibly not the best choice considering the response...

Well anyway, make sure to re-check your profile if you're confident of your unadulterated spelling abilities. ;)

I'm in agreement - this thing is a nightmare.  And when I clicked on "disable", I didn't exactly get how to disable it out of there.  It catches a -lot- of deliberate mispellings and calls those out too.  I dunno whose idea it was to put this one in there, but I think I'd rather read the stuff from people who can't spell above a 3rd grade level than deal with this bag of cyberbeef.

I'm working on disabling it, I installed it as a test, and I'm having a pain disabling it right now.
