FWIW, the National Weather Service agrees with the Weather Channel. According to them, it won't break 80.

The 7-day forecast on the local FOX station says that Portland will reach 80 on Friday - Sunday.  I'm not sure how that'll compare to up here, though...

From what I've found on weather.com, using the zip code 98660... Friday=78-55, 0% chance of rain... Saturday=84-58, 0% chance of rain... Sunday=80-59, 0%chance of rain... Monday=77-59, 0% chance of rain.

HYDRATE.

Better to be hydrated than have heat exhaustion or worse, heat stroke.

I did the very first one, with the corn starch. Luckily I had some in my pantry. I usually don't have or use corn starch much xD (I remember when I was making pudding one time and I needed corn starch, but there was none at all I could find ]: )

Dude I know! I think I'm going to just bring a water bottle.

I know I don't have the worst cosplay to wear in hot weather, but it's up there. I get to wear a heavy trench coat for two of the four cosplays (plus a wig for all except for one). And a turban type thing for one. Also an under armour t shirt underneath three of them, to make sure I don't get any "stains."

It's sounding more and more tolerable.  This is extra good, because one of the folks crashing at my apartments has pointed out that the wig I'll be using for Pinkie Pie could melt under the heat of the sun.  (Of course the last few cons she went to were in Oklahoma and north Texas, but still...).
