So, what did you think of the fashion show?
According to the Yojimbo managing the line, we had nearly TWICE the number of people in line to participate compared to the number of people who crossed the stage. I was glad that it was scheduled after Cosplay Chess so that people wouldn't have to choose between the two. Sadly, several photoshoots were scheduled at 3, so many cosplayers decided to skip the fashion show so they could make it to the photoshoot. Oh well - at least we had enough participants to have the fashion show last a good half-hour.
At the last moment, because I realized I was way too tired to try to decipher everyone's handwriting, I decided to toss out the idea of having people write their introductions and instead just asked them to state their name & fashion style / character name (depending upon whether they were cosplaying or wearing steampunk/Lolita/other fashion).
What were your thoughts on the fashion show? Shall we do it again next year? What can we do to make it better?
I know one thing to fix next year: if someone is wearing a mask, I'll repeat what that person said because microphones can't pick up sound coming from behind a mask.
