There aren't enough of these, and it's not that I'm being cruel and note allowing minors - I'm just being selective because there are not enough of these. I would really like a change for adult cosplayers to meet up, in the warmer weather, where we can be the adults we are. Crack jokes, and act like the adults we are, without being worried about doing something that could potentially get us in trouble because minors are around.
I am asking for only 18+ because in a lot of the past meet ups I have been at, the maturity levels between cosplayers differs based on generation and age. Though there are some minors who are more mature, in the reality of it all - a lot of adults are not comfortable being adults around minors. We have to watch what we say, how we say it, and what we do. Mostly because of laws that can easily be misconstrued by those outside of situations.
Now that my disclaimer is out of the way, I want to do a cosplay meet up, once the weather has gotten warmer. Probably in April time, or May time. Based around other peoples schedules and the like. It will be a potluck, as are all of my events. Because this makes it easier on everyone to eat. I will take down a list of people interested, and items they may be bringing. As well as suggestions of time of day, and day of the week.
Basically, come in cosplay or casual, and get a chance to talk with others of your own age range. Anyone 18+ is welcome. But understand if you cause a problem during my event, you will be asked to leave - and /not/ return to future events.
