Parking around Kumoricon?

This is the first year I'm commuting to and from Kumoricon rather than getting a hotel, so I don't know anything about the parking situation. Does anyone have tips, tricks, or advice for parking, or commuting in general? I definitely don't want to get a ticket, and I'd really rather not have to keep feeding a meter every few hours.

If it helps, I'm planning on leaving SE Portland around 7AM and leaving the con around 10PM.

There's a pretty inexpensive parking garage to the side of the park, right near the clock tower. The I-5 on and off ramps are very near if you get the correct exit, literally just 3-5 minutes away. I'm not sure about busing in and out, or how heavy traffic can be. Traffic can be heavier if you're traveling midday, or closer to 10am.

On the street parking is free for the weekend because it's a holiday (at least that's how it has been every year con has been at this location). Might be hard to find, but if you can find a spot, it'll be free.
