Uwajimaya Beaverton Cosplay Meet up! June 7th, 1pm-5pm

Uwajimaya Beaverton is excited to announce that we will hold our first ever Cosplay Meet Up on June 7th from 1pm-5pm!!!
 
This event will include cosplay contests based on creativity and accuracy of a particular character or series. Participants may also compete as groups and may perform skits relating to their characters. There will be prizes awarded to the contest winners, and the first 100 customers who show up in costume will receive a prize, as well! This event will provide an opportunity for both cosplay enthusiasts and those who just want to watch the event to take pictures, meet their favorite characters, hang out at Uwajimaya, eat great snacks, drinks and food, and just have fun!
 
Sign up for contests start from 1pm and will be limited to up to 50 entries, 15 for skits.

Aaaaah, why must I work until 3:30?!? Such a bummer. This sounds like a world of fun, and a great opportunity for kicking off the cosplay season.

I suppose the cosplay contest spots would be all filled by 4:00, huh?

Good Afternoon!
Here are some updates regarding our Cosplay Meet Up this Saturday!Signup will be held at entrance of event at 1:00 pm. All entries must be received by 2:45 pm, and all contest will begin at 3:00.
 Contest & Prizes:
 Most Creative - $50 Uwajimaya gift card
 Most Realistic - Huffy Beach Cruiser Bike ...
 Best Skit - $50 Uwajimaya gift card Cosplay Contest Rules:
 • Please keep in mind that this is a family-friendly event.  Regular customers will be present at the store during the event, so costumes and skits should be appropriate for all ages.
 • Offensive language, profanities, and obscenities (spoken or written) are not allowed.
 • Costumes must not be too revealing.  Men must have groin and buttocks covered; women must have groin, buttocks, and breasts covered.
 • No functional weapons may be used as props.  Prop weapons should be kept holstered or sheathed except for when posing for pictures or using during the contest.
 • Uwajimaya staff reserves the right to ask any attendee to leave the premises if they are in violation of any of the above rules, or are otherwise deemed to be acting inappropriately.
 • Skit group limit of 5 members, Skits must be 2 minutes or less

Thanks!  Its starting to get a bit  of a response of "who?" Or that its from Pokemon(I guess there is a trainer that wears somthing similar?) And I think about retiring it but then it works for our skit ideas

we did a skit (cooking with mama).  Tell ya hubby n I practiced all week, only to find out we were the only skit and going first, no pressure... We won by default, tho I like to.think it was still a good skit  a had a attack on Titian bit, Titian crunchies with rice cereal walls chunks.  They said would be  future cosplay events which would be awesome.
