   Well This Year I'm Going As Aeris (FF7)
But My Friends Need Ideas...Does Anyone Have Any?

Well, do you know what kind of anime/manga/jpop your friends like?  Otherwise we could literally recommend anyone for your friends to cosplay as.

If it's their first time cosplaying, try out a simple costume.  That way they'll get the hang of it and figure out what they'll need to make and how to deal with a really complex one.

Groups are always spiffy. Perhaps you could convince your pals to go as charries of FF7 too?

@negima: well, we all cosplayed last year, but they want to be somthing different this year......

If your going to be Aeris from FF7 you can also have some friends who are just starting be in dark suits like the turks, have suits on stand by for any one who wants to go at the lastminute.   And then they can also be Gunmen from Noir.  

That was my first costume for K1 in Eugene but I fell asleep and mised it

I have a friend who kitbashes action figures.  So when i was at Goodwill (ware I have found $300 games for 99 cent) I got a grab bag of broken figures.  He said they were total junk and no one could make a kitbash from them.   So I put Charlie Brown's Head on Goku and Called him Chucku
