In the registration form, it said that from 6-12 year olds are required to have a guardian. Does that mean the 13-17 year olds do not require one? Or do they still need one?

Everyone one under 18 is required to have a guardian, for those under 13, they're required to have a guardian at all times, and it has to be their legal parent/guardian.

So, those 14+ only need a guardian older than 18? Not a parental guardian figure?

I think the rule is that all non-parental guardians have to be nerdy single aunts between the ages of 30 and 40 who have not had a date in 10 years and missed out on all the excitement or exploring there imagination in high school because the other girls made fun of anything that was not top 40 cool and now they want another chance to fulfill there full geeky potentional

No, you're parsing Evilmonkey's statement wrong. In either case the guardian must be their legal parent/guardian.

To rephrase: Everyone under 18 is required to have a legal parent/guardian, and everyone under 13 must also have a legal parent/guardian with them at all times.

What if the child over 14 has a note from their parents granting the child privilege to walk around the convention by themseves, but have an adult over 18 present?  Do they still need parental consent forms and/or a legal guardian?

Sorry if I'm repeating questions, just would like to know ^_^  Thank you.

Minors ages 15-17 may have an appointed guardian that must be a fully registered attendee 18 or older.  They must fill out a Parental Consent form (available shortly online for download).  When registering, there is information to put down for who will be their guardian during the convention.  It is imperative that we have this information for safety issues in case a minor is in trouble or disruptive at the convention.

By flirting I hope you are not trying to imply my intentions are not serious and by fodder do you mean something to be used and tossed away.  I assure you there would be no tossing away of the Aunt Chaperones.

I think every year the Con should elect Queen Serenity from amongst the Chaperone aunts who are entering there second nerdy hood.  Present them with a cape and crown and let them make up for missing there HS prom and of course I could stand in for the Prince Consort Darien
