just curious when the next meeting is. iv hear rumor of the 20th while others say later on. just tryin to get some definite answers.

The 20th is accurate. No place or specific time yet... but current thought is the same place as last time.

I would love to attend, but the 20th is both one of my birthdays (I'm one of the few lucky people to have two official ones ^.^ ) and fathers day (which is ironic because I cannot stand my father in the least), so I won't be able to attend.

Wave at the cool thingys for me, and please post the notes up as soon as possible, especially if they concern Security! ^.^

I'd suggest the weekend AFTER Father's day but it's not an issue for me.
I can get there no problem, especially if the meeting gets done around 3:30 like last time!

I'd suggest meeting at the Marriott or the Starbucks next to it. Last time we didn't actually stay at the Starbucks and the park might be rained out. The Marriott Starbucks is closer to the location for one thing, close to waterfront park if its sunny, and bigger than the other starbucks we were at.

There's enough directions to the Marriott floating around the boards that peple should be able to get there without incident. Even if they drive!

which marriott starbucks are you refering to? the one on 1st is closed on the weekends (close to the WTC).

I don't think we realized it was on father's day weekend when we scheduled it. if enough people have a problem with it, then we might move it.

so moving it to the 27th? I'm not sure who would be in favor of that with AX that next weekend, and at least a few of us are headed to that.

Well, the people that can't make it to the meeting on the 20th are speaking up here. Therefore, if they miss something at the meeting they can ask about it here. If someone takes adequete minutes (or has notes before hand) they can post them here.

There's BOUND to be a thread started that night!

Go ahead with the 20th, AX is important for the staff to focus on, after all, it's official Con business! :wink:

Heck, the locals could always set up another meeting in Portland since we're not the ones making 2 hour long commutes!

yes yes yes, there will be notes/minutes. but I'm at a loss here... this date was decided at the meeting last thursday, and I get a call this morning from Peter about people being worried and how I came up with the date.

So I'm kinda lost here... who CAN make the meeting?

I CAN make the meeting. I will be there at the park/Starbucks on Sunday. Just not at Todai's *Tom's wallet whimpers*.

Now, what time again? 2:00 or 1:00 would be best.

In July I'll need more time to get into Portland since I'll be working with my church.

don't have a time... and unless Sean plans on coming up and hosting a todai thing, I don't believe that is going to happen. I certainly can't afford it.

I'd love to come if you do end up rescheduling, but I've already made dad-plans for father's day. Maybe I could come if it's early in the day?

I will keep an eye on this thread for times, but I must point out that it's a little scary that there aren't meeting times more than a week before the meeting. I sincerely hope con-planning isn't still going on during the last week of August. =^_^= Not to be a downer; I just want to stress the importance of everyone knowing exactly what is going on, and what their roles are going to be before it's too late and people have other plans.

of course it won't... but when I'm the only of the executives posting to the thread... and I certainly hope I'm not the only one going, it's kind hard to say something.

At this point I'm thinking of cancelling the meeting... but I will say one way or the other tomorrow after the thursday meeting... if it's just going to be Tara and I and like 3 other people, then it seems kinda pointless, and we'll just wait until the meeting in July.

by the by, if you're staff, and you don't have access to the staff forum, then you need to PM me... you're not set up as staff, and therefore--as far as I'm concerned--are not staff.

Yeah, there are always the Thursday meetings, we're still meeting in front of Chiles 125 until such time as they don't let us use that room anymore, and then we'll go from there.

again: NO MEETING JUNE 20th.

The next meeting will be announced by the 27th of this month (June). That should be about 1 month before the next meeting.
