Hey kids!

This coming Saturday the 13th of May LANime returns!

The event will be at Chemeketa Community College in Building 9.

The event will run from 2pm-midnight. We need everyone out, cleaned up, and GONE by midnight.

Here is a rundown of what is happening:

-We will have two large theater rooms showing anime in one room and I'll be showcasing some Martial Arts films in the other.

-There will be a room for manga reading, art creation, tabletop games like GO, Chess, YuGiOh, etc...

-There will be LAN gaming!!

We will be busting out some old skool FPS action with Unreal Tournament.

There will also be open console gaming. No tourneys are scheduled for the console gamers.

-There will be a TEXAS HOLD 'EM room as well. (no actual gambling, but the winner will get some prizes)

-I would also appreciate it if attendees brought some food to share for a snack/potluck room. It is always nice when we can have some munchies on hand to keep us going through the day...

-I have gotten a box of swag from FUNImation that I'll give out as prizes for cosplay and art contests as well as for tourney prizes.

We are always looking for folks to help out. If you want to help run a tourney, do some set up/take down, monitor a room, whatever, we ALWAYS can use the extra help.

Directions from Portland to Chemeketa Community College
Take I-5 South towards Salem.
Take exit number 260B for Chemeketa Community College.
Turn left onto Chemawa Road NE.
Turn right onto Portland Road NE.
Turn left onto Lancaster Drive NE.
Turn left onto Cooley Drive NE to enter the Chemeketa Community College campus.

Directions from Eugene to Chemeketa Community College
Take I-5 North towards Salem.
Take exit number 256 for Chemeketa Community College.
Turn right onto Market Street NE.
Turn left onto Lancaster Drive NE and continue for approximately 2 miles.
Turn right onto Cooley Drive NE to enter the Chemeketa Community College campus.

also I dont know if anyone is into this but will there be magic the gathering being played. I know that my bf is into that and I could get some other friends of mine to go if there was.

You need to be 16 and if you are under 16 you need to be there with a responsible guardian (over 18).

In the art/gaming room people play MtG. Most of us play YuGiOh, but there are lots of people who play both and I think that more MtG players would be good to mix things up a bit.

they are always FREE! you can even win prizes for cosplay and other cool stuff.

grr.... people kept stealing the stuff being thrown to me!! -_-
And I think I broke something fighting over that T-Shirt out front. When some guy finally got it it was like he was wearing a dress cause it was so stretched and had a huge hole in it.

Ah yes. I heard about this big 12 man wrestling match on the grass for one of the t-shirts. I wish I could have seen that one.
