kumoricon t-shirt sizes
« on: July 02, 2004, 03:08:53 pm »
As the person working on ordering t-shirts I'm curious, how many of each size t-shirt should I get? Help by taking this poll is greatly appreciated. ^_^

The shirts will be black with the kumoricon logo on the back and a red chop (like chinese calligraphy signatures) on the front left. I'll try and throw together a picture of it later.

I think you need like, twice as many of the larger sizes. sure they may be younger folks buying smalls and mediums but most of us are going to want Large or more.

Now these shirts aren't going to have the pot smoke on them right?

you have to pay extra for that.

I may be a tiny chick, but I love all of my XX-L sized shirts! ^.^

Mainly because then they last for eyars and years on end.  (I'm not kidding, I had to finally retire my fav shirt last year, and I had been wearing it since 1996! O.o The comparrison is that I was 12 then, I'm 20 now. )
No, I'm not insane.  I'm just... happy.

First off, thank you to everyone for participating in this poll. I am hoping to hear from at least 30 people so I get a good idea what the population is like. it does seem like most people prefer larger to smaller but my understanding is that we ran out of small shirts first last year. So you smalls and medium speak up!

I will post the price as soon as I place the order with the t-shirt company. My understanding is that the prices can vary a little day to day so what i think it will cost now might be a bit different the day of. Let's hope the price goes down. ^.^;

Here's pictures of what will be on the t-shirt. I don't have an actual photograph of one but photoshop's almost as good. As you can see, the shirt has changed slightly from last year. The quality will be just as good but in my humble opinion, this year's looks better.

I vote for smaller size, and I love the simplicity of black/white.
So who came up with the name "Kumori Kon"? Is it "Cloudy" because it rains all the time in OR?
And who came up with the design? *I have a good guess on who  :P *

And I'd get either a medium or large, myself.

Don't you just need the special iron ons?  My friend has them...

Its hard to mess with a shirt once they're ironed on though.  Mine, the picture is all ripped up and stuff ^^;  Its still my special shirt..

What a gorgeous design!  ^_^  I love the fact that she doesn't have a face-- makes it so much more interesting to look at.  Dig it muchly. ^_^

On the offchance that they run out of a certain size at the con, is there any way we could order one online?  I'd love to have one, but my luck is always that they'll run out of my size.  *waves* Medium.

Kudos, dude.  This Tee rocks.  ^_^

Ok! The t-shirts are ordered and on their way! I'm really excited about this. We weren't able to order a huge supply so if you really like the shirts (like I do :P ) You might want to hit the information booth where they will be selling them right away when the con starts.

If we run out, I'll have a sign up list at that same table where we can take orders for a second run. Unfortunately, we need a minimum number of orders before we can do a second run so I can't guarantee it will happen. Might have to add a shipping fee also since I doubt everybody lives in Eugene or Portland.

Oh yeah, and now I have the final prices:
$15 for small through x-large
$17 for the xx-large
Since the xx-large have more fabric, I guess the t-shirt manufacturers like to charge more for them. :(

Yay! I'll be sure to pick one of those up right away! Hope your small is small enough :). Oh, and does the company you print the T-shirts w/have babydoll T's also? I'm sure a lot of the female attendees would agree w/me that if maybe next year you offered some of those it'd be awesome! I'd probably pay like $20 for one of those.

Awesome.  Medium for me!!!  I was lucky enough to get one last year.  Any reason you weren't able to make a larger order??  I would think that after what happened last year you'd want to get more shirts... 8O

We ordered like 3 times the number of t-shirts we did last year. If I could've I would have ordered a larger number and had more variety but you know how it goes. We only have so much money we can pay for up front. If enough people are asking for baby-tees and larger sizes though, perhaps we can do it next year.

Dustin, I'm really sorry but I didn't order any 4X shirts!  If we run out during the con though and get enough preorders to do a second run, I'll definitely make sure that you can get whatever size you need.

TtFanboy, I don't see why volunteers couldn't get the t-shirt during setup but let me bring it up at the next meeting and make sure. It seems silly to be stingy with free advertising. (that is, people walking around wearing our shirts) :D

The t-shirts will be printed by Printwear Oregon down here in Eugene. They are wonderful people and do a great job printing so look forward to quality shirts. ^_^

just incase any one is curious...
Kumori = cloudiness, cloudy weather, shadow

and i know that you can put me down for either a large or X-large. :D
i also agree that design rocks... i like its simple-ness its not shouting at people lol, and therefore attracts attention better.

i hope it rains, the rain is nice here... besides when its not raining... it will prolly be brutally hot.[/b]
