I am moving to the NW district of portland in two weeks, well i know where kumoricon is being held at but can anyone give me directions as to how to get there via trimet?

www.trimet.org. Enter in your addresss, enter in the hotels ^-^

Not sure how you'd get to downtown, but once downtown just take the 6 to Vancouver, get off on one of the last stops before going over the bridge.

well i think I can get to downtown... rode through it yesterday while moving some stuff in and deciding to take  the street car and max everywhere.....

Trumby already gave you the link to Trimet... always helpful, but I thought that I'd mention that if you're already able to take the streetcar then all you have to do is ride it to the stop right after Columbia (Just before PSU.) and then walk back to the stop for the 6.  Then just ride it up to the island (You know you're there when the bus does that little loop around the Safeway.).  Easy.

Keep in mind that the last two days of the con are on a Sunday and a legal holiday. You might want to get out a little earlier on those days, but it's more an inconvenience than a problem -- Tri-Met, for all its petty annoyances, is one of the best public transit systems in the nation overall.
