After since becoming an expert at emergency glasses repair (my own glasses, as well as the glasses of many other people, are dedicated to leveling me up in the skill), I have built the most perfect, and cheapest, glasses repair kit to be seen:
1 microfiber cloth
1 small spray bottle of watered down windex (I like .25 windex to .75 water solution myself)
1 leatherman micra (it can screw in any glasses screw, and has scissors. Worth the cost, deffinitly worth it.)
1 roll electricians tape
1 roll duct tape
1 roll extra strength clear tape
You can tape up glass rims and frames with the electricians tape and duct tape. I'll usually go overboard myself and apply extra tape just to be on the safe side.
If the glass itself is cracked, I cleanse the glass thoroughly, dry it thoroughly, and apply the clear tape. This works for broken glass as well, though they aren't quite as good as non-broken glass, so it's still not the perfect repair.
But, remember, for glass breakage, or cracks, it is best to get them professionally repaired or replaced as soon as possible. Patches are just that: patches. They are only meant for temporary usage to let your glasses survive until they can be professionally repaired or replaced.
