Voice dubbing panel
« on: September 06, 2006, 08:38:10 am »
Well, this was a lot of fun.  Some of us got to work on a scene from an Inuyasha episode.  A former VIZ video employee provided the stuff, and voice actors Tiffany Grant & Kirk Thornton were there to watch, providing tips and critisisms (when they had to).  It was just, amazing!  Playing as Inuyasha was kinda fun, (that means it's my show!  Mwahahaha!).

It was insanely fun. I just wish I did a better job as Shippo. Funny thing is the next day my voice decided to drop lower than usual. Stupid voice.

My friend had fun screeching as Kagome. She has fun going on yelling tirades like Ed when we call her short so my other friend and I knew she'd be perfect and made her jump up, lol.
Unable to come this year. Sorry guys...

I wanted to go, but I had to attend the cosplay rehearsal ;_; I've been in the amateur voice acting scene for the past few years so it would have been nice to get some tips and actually try dubbing.

Hopefully next time~

Hey, this may sound like a lame question, but isn't there some sort of software out there where people can do their own voice dubbing?  Maybe the Kumoricon staff should do a voice dubbing!  (But would it be "legal" to show it @ the convention, I wonder?)

for the end of the panel the class should do a live redubing of something and make up a new story like that Kung Foo Cow movie.  then show that at the end in the after the AMV winner show

Kung Fu Cow movie?

So there is a way to obtain that sort of program, then?

That movie by the guy who did Kung Foo hustle and Showlin Soccer.  He took an old Kung Foo movie redubed the dialog to change the plot and added a few scenes of himself and a Cow that did matrix style kung foo.

The best idea for any voice panel is to invite Sarah Vowels the voice of violet in the incredibles.  She is my age and she is h0t, tiny and adorable with a sacarcastic brian.  I think the proper legal term is scrumptious morsel.  Sarah likes to tour graveyards and talk about severed heads.  I used to work in a morgue and had picnics in graveyards at midnight.  I think we would get a long very well, very well indeed.  Unless she is a lesbian.

Vondan, I really don't think that "Kung-Pow; Enter the Fist" was done by the same guy as Shaolin Soccer.

I've always wanted to do dub/voice acting work but never had the time. I also have bad allergies so I usually sniffle. Its very frustrating to hear audio of myself.

However, people I game with love the silly voices I do for our crazy NPCs so who knows!

I gotta keep an eye on that panel.

Ooohh yeah!!! I couldnt make it to this panel either and I really really I wanted to!! I dont member why I couldnt make it, but I hope they have another voice acting panel again! I wanna try, since I kinda wanna go into dubbing  and stuff too. LOL, only problem is I tend to sound more Japanese, since I think I sound better when I speak in Japanese than English.  :P

Well, this may sound sad to some of you, but I just learned the name of the program that would be needed to do our own dubbing, M-Box.  Maybe we should have some of us make our own dubbed thing & show it at K-con this year.

Does anybody here live nearby Frye's Electronics?  I've checked some of the stores here in Clark County (specifically east Vancouver) and couldn't even find an M-Box.  I'm trying to think of other places that may have it.

List of places I've hit: Best Buy, Target, Office Max.

I'm pretty sure that the original one from last year will take place again.

Wash, that sounds like a good excuse to go down to Frye's in a couple weeks when I get paid again. To check on it at least.

My suggestion is that someone take charge of this even if you don't have the gear yourself. we can find people to provide the equipment. We need to get it on the schedule first.

Freakin' sweet!

Would it be okay if I were to join you?  I could take the MAx down to west-side Portland, or something, & meet you somewhere.
