Cap Guns

I've got a problem.  I need a toy revolver-type gun, but all I can find are cap guns. (They make sound, but don't have the ability to shoot anything.)

Are these acceptable?  I am going to either superglue down or remove any moveable parts and seal up any openings, then probably paint over that.  Would this get taken away?

It depends on how closely it looks like a real gun. Importantly, it should have an orange tip.

I can do that.  I can get orange tape or paint for that, no problem.  Most newer cap guns have an orange tip already.  But the fact that it's a cap gun is acceptable?

We don't ban cap guns outright, no, only Airsoft and projectile weapons. See our convention policies.
