I heard a rumor that wooden swords will not be allowed. Is this true?

Wooden weapons have never become an issue. I am not a yojimbo and have not had yojimbo training, so wait for more official news.

I know for a fact that boken and similar props have been allowed in the past. I believe it would depend on how "dangerous" the weapon is, with sharpened tips and edges you could still do enough damage for the convention to liable.

wooden props are usually allowed. they will of course need to be peace bonded and that means you will not swing it around or engage in mock fights  within hotel space. (doing it in the park is of course not our call).
