the one I posted was in Tacoma Washington yours was from Illinois is this a new college fade.  Should Washington Crazy person and Illinois Crazy person get together

I just thought the baby bib  was a hoot  "You think I'm cute? You should see my aunt"

Look Illinoise crazy girl has glasses.  Now she is reminding me of the nerdy girl at the start of the movie May.  I wonder if Washington Crazy Person is also a nerdy girl

As some one who had worked with more dead babies than anyone else on the forum I have to say they don't make sticks big enough for the daily beating those parents deserve.  I supposed as Vegans who don't believe in cows milk they do not believe in mother milk either.

Let's all hope they get fun room mates named Rochell and Butch

My friends and I were talking about a rightful punishment for these guys. Our first idea was to feed them Mcdonalds until they got horribly obese, then cutting them off cold turkey until they get skinny again. Rinse Repeat.

My idea was more harsh...hehe....Make them work at a slaughter house for community service.

Actually if I was emperor of earth watching from my asteroid city ship in orbit and crewed by all nerdy Vulcan girls.  A the child died in 2004 the parents could have redeemed themselves and served to nourish 3 seasons of soy beans for the poor by using there ground up flesh to fertilize the soil

I mean if I was in charge the parents would have just been taken out and and dumped in a wood chipper to make "natural organic" fertilizer for a soy bean farm.

I'm doing my part too.  Every day I work with the skin of dead animals.  Last week a former room mate gave me two hams from the pet pig we feed for a year.  The friend I live with now the house is just outside city limets, so when a wild turkey was in the back yard uumm umm good

Oy, vey....   http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18574603/?GT1=9951
that story just really showed how stooooopidt some people can be. The bloody vegans didn't clue in that the child required the mom's milk. Helloooooooo there's a reason babies always drink mom's milk -- it contains everything the child needs. The other thing that got me was that the clueless parents seem to have waited until the child was nearly dead (down to 3.5 lbs ) before seeking assistance / advice from a doctor. I know some vegans, and at least they were clueful enough that the woman breast-fed the child until he was old enough to eat solid foods (then they restricted him to the vegan diet).

hey no one is saying all vegans are bad
i belive this topic is restricted to hose parents who let thee child die, who from what i read weren't thinking as there is soy baby formula and things they could of given the child to give it a proper diet. thing is the parents seemed to be trying to cover under the fact that "hey we're vegans" which dosen't explain why they didnt  look into a proper care, not going to doctor check ups and weigh in which i belive whould be okay with any other person who cares for their childern NO MATTER WHAT THEY EAT, vegan just seemed to be the unfortunate chatch word of this story, that could be more on them being unedjacated first time parents, but saying  "hey we're idiots" wouldnt be a good defence
as for the denis leary comments thats an asshole song what do you expect, dont be labling the peeps on the forums as ignorant till you know them better. yes i admit vegan bashhing isn't good term but if it were those parents i would bash them so maybe thats what was meant...
i do agree they really just stoopid being vegan notwithstanding

also, just to clear things up on the whole milk thing this is how it is:

Cow's Milk = for baby cows

where as

(human) Mother's milk = for baby humans

just a nature intended

you ever see people sucking on a cow's udder? no? why? because it's unnatural, cow's milk isn't made for people (and if you have seen someone doing that I hope you gave them the number of a good therapist lol)

I ment ignorant about veganism.

seriosly I'm tired of all the dumb steriotypes. These days most people can agree that it's not ok to make fun of someone because of their race, religion, gender, orientation etc. but the vegan lifestyle (and yes it is a lifestyle) is still seen as fair game to most people. I'm sick of it.

I mean come on all I'm doing is spareing lives, helping the environment and keeping myself healthy with every meal, what's wrong with that?

It is true that a vegan diet is a great one for babies.  Their system hasn't developed properly for eating meat & I've heard that eating dairy at a very young age can increase the chances of becoming lactose intolerant.

I’ve been poisoned.  I went to the store and grabbed the cheapest pack of brauts I found and did not notice till I was on the way back to work that they were TOFURKY.  I’m sure it was that Tofu girl that had the nerdy checker at the store distract me and switch out my wieners.  Ewww I feel so ashamed I was forced to eat vegan hotdogs

You know, all in all, I say if people wanna be vegan, go ahead, just don't try to deny me the right to enjoy eating animals.  I believe it's part of our diet; that's why we have some canines.  Can you replace the nutrients from meat with some plants & stuff?  Yes, but I prefer meat.

Don't get all self-righteous on us. Soy fields and many other fields aren't good for the environment. The vast majority use completely unnatural fertilizers and pesticides and even if they use natural it still creates an environmentally unsafe concentration of the material in the ground possibly contaminating the water table. They tear down forests and remove meadows displacing animals and killing them eventually for their fields. When you make a moral decision to not eat meat at least look at the whole picture before you start attacking others.

... that video made me hungry for some chicken... and beef. Tomorrow I am going to go to my job at Deschutes brewery and eat a hamburger with a side of buffalo wings!

EDIT: Vondan I will GLADLY cosplay "The Meatrix" with you :) I will talk to rob (waffles) and see if he wants to.

EDIT2: SWEET! They can send me a free vegetarian starter kit! I am going to order it then burn it or something just to waste their money! I hate PETA -_- they always have that "holier than thou" attitude and it just pisses me off. Plus they are behind a lot of tire slashings and paint throwing that make honest people spend more money.

Remember back in 2002 the FIFA World Cup took place in Japan & South Korea?  Well, PETA decided to go to Korea & protest eating dogs by locking themselves up in little cages.

A friend's friend who spent five years in china and  married a lady there  (the aunt of my pen pal who helped us take care of that pesky live turkey in the back yard)  said he was once served a plate of puppy tongues.  I'm weird I figure if it is not some ones pet AND a healthy animal I see no difrence between eating a "Normal" domesticated animal and any other

That is really wierd, because the Chinese don't eat dog for food. It is purely medicinal. I am not sure about the Koreans though.

No, the Koreans do eat dog, and I think they do in Vietnam or somewhere down there, too.  As for China, I've heard some areas will every now & then, but it's not common.

They live about 100 miles across the water from Korea.  J said the Puppy Tounges were not a common thing I thnk they just pulled out all stops to freak out the white guy.  His wife gave my friend and snack the other day and it was a beatle.

Yeah, I can believe that they'd do something like that just to freak out stupid American tourists.  I know I would.
