I believe that is in reference to the number of guests, which reflects on the number of beds.

singles and doubles are bed sizes... like signles are for single beds such as twin beds.... and doubles are things for like king queen and full

I am pretty sure it is the amount of people you are planning on having in the room (as it doesn't go higher than four, because it is the max)

hey u can have more like the time when me and my family stayed in a hotel because we where visiting family and staying the weekend or something like that. we took the 2 bed and sat them against the wall and the 8 of us slept in sleeping bags on the floor lol. (note: children from 2 mirages...)

Actually, read up on the hotel's policy. The max amount of people that can legally (I think it's a law..anyone care to verify that?), and safely (according to fire code) stay in a room is four. Yes you can fit more people in the room, but not by law. And if the hotel does catch you with more people in it, they most likely won't hesitate to boot you out of the room without a refund.

I had a long chat with the Sakura-con facilities liason about this last year after Kcon and I learned quite a bit about it.

Yup yup!
The prices are measured by the number of people, 1, 2, 3, or 4.
The beds come as 2 double-size beds or 1 Queen sized bed, as they are available.

Also note that the hotel is making EVERY floor nonsmoking for our convention. Usually they let people smoke on the 4th floor but not labor day!
