the fangirl/fanboy Panel
« on: September 22, 2006, 01:51:19 pm »
did anyone attend the fangirl/fanboy Panel? well, if you did, great... cause lets just say it hurt a lot on entry for some people (aka me... the pirate with tootsie rolls) but all in all, it was a lot of fun. They taught you how to glomp, they asked us who our favorite characters were and if we glomped them/has been glomped, and a lot of other things.

p.s. thanks to all the girls who glomped me, I really appreciated it.

I was the one with the treasure chest, which had the best treasure of all... TOOTSIE ROLLS. So many people loved that treasure, it was awsome... I so beat Jack Sparrow when it comes to treasure.

I know for a fact that SOME ONE wants you to go next year as Jack Skeliton the Pirate King from James and the Giant Peach.  And I realy recomend that you do and accept any offers for photo ops that relate to Jack Skeliton and be a gentleman

Go watch it again.  Tim Burton reused the Armatures for Jack as the Pirate King like no one would notice.  Now you have an excuse for a NBC/POTC crossover story

Oh, I went to that. I was the one in yellow, with the irrecognizable(eh, is that even a word?) cosplay.
Lisz : You're Neji? That means you raped Naruto.
Laura : Awesome.

I believe the term is "unrecognizable".

They hurt you when you went in there? Shame on them.

I was the one who went in and gave them some lessons on glomp safety and method. The usual costume etiquette stuff.

What you want to do is not knock the person over or damage their costume. Those are the primary rules.

An easy way to do this is to make sure that the person is not already being glomped and that they are bigger than you. After that there's a bunch of methods that I don't feel like writing out tonight.

I might make this an article in the newsletter if the editor lets me. Though I think that it would make a pretty good video if I had some help.

The reason I act like an authority on the matter is that after running Pocky Club for two years I've had to train a lot of delivery personnel in glomping etiquette and safety.

The dangers of glomping are one of the reasons I have the Yes Glomp List and the Do Not Glomp List. The first one grants us consent to glomp you and the second one lets us know that we shouldn't glomp you for whatever reason. If you want a spot on either of these lists just let me know via email, PM, at a general meeting or sign up during the convention at our booth or at our panel!

That would be Henry Selik. Tim Burton didn't work on James and the Giant Peach.

This was all for last years' panel, right?

Necroposting for this years' panel.

I was in there. ^_^ I was the boy in black on the floor who got up to go up front. I plugged my ears when everyone shrieked cause there was concerts I wanted to hear later. ^^;;
