I was rooting for Juno simply because a comedy hasn't won Best Picture in *years*. Comedy as a genre has a reputation for being stupid, so we need to show that smart comedies are indeed being made.

I was here at work, I missed something

I think it was another year that I didn't see hardly any of the Oscar nodded flicks. But then I hardly went to the movies all year last year. Too many junk films, and too little knowledge of good ones, to have my interest generated.

I only caught the last hour of the Oscars so I missed all the previous awards. But I haven't seen any of the nominated movies (though I may buy Michael Clayton... 'cause George Clooney's sexy.)
