vendors booths.... artist alley or exhibitors hall?
« on: November 24, 2007, 05:14:18 pm »
me and some people wanna have a booth, but were not sure which one to get... the type of stuff well be selling is some pocky and or ramune, but mostly hand made things, like hats/cat ears/ plushies/buttons
 and, if something is from an anime, would it be considered a bootleg? or should i just stick to original designs?
and also, who do i contact for more information??? @w@;;;

s-sorry, by anime i meant like plushies, hats, things like that.

To be clear, you are not talking about selling fansubs or anything like that, but something else?  I'm not aware of the exact line my self, but examples, or clarification of examples would be a good thing in this case.  If it's something that could be considered merchandise, then my gut feeling is that it probably wouldn't be allowed unless official.  Artwork of your own design but of characters others created is a grey area in my personal book.  On the other hand, it may be possible to negotiate permission if it is required.  Others might already know if that is the case/possible.

we had tons of anime and video game stuff that was hand made in past years, year before last we had a girl making anime dolls and this last year we had custom cosplay with their awesome anime hats, and a woman making the coolest  bob-bomb earring from mario

if its anime stuff you make your self then its more fan fiction kinda thing aimed toward the artist ally but since you will be selling non hand made thing you have to get a table in the dealers room instead of artist ally table (i think theyre cheaper)
