... if you're like me and practically never read that board.

All (Kumoricon) Anime News
Comcast is threatening unlicensed anime downloaders
Artical: Did Anime Producers Go From Embracing Fansubbers To Blaming Them?

To be quite honest, both items really are anime news, but not the kind of news I'd expect to find/discuss in that forum... The latest DVD releases, or other things that seem to be discussed there typically are just not something I'm interested in joining in... so I get lazy and just let it sit at 'unread messages'.

I figure others, especially those who are very active here, might think the same way.

It's hard to work up an interest in something that starts with the word "artical".

Ok, I admit that's not worded so well for the spam forums... but doesn't the actual headline of the article... oops, THAT field doesn't get spell check.

Well, the actual article was well written.

I'm confused by this. Why not post this in general? I was hoping to establish a clear distinction between a more orderly general discussion and a more crazy spam forum, but everybody's posting their regular stuff in the spam forum too!

Oh yeah, and I forgot to explain, the anime news forum is poorly titled and subtitled. Nobody reads Anime News Network, much less reposts their news here. Really it was just an experiment to add another specific-use forum. It should be more like "News and Current Events".

Maybe Topical Articals would be a good name for it?

Have Fun

Complete with the spelling mistake?  Though honestly article is a hard word to spell... it's got one of those silly 'le's on the end, as opposed to how we (mis?)pronounce it.
